During my graduate career I TA'ed one course as well as developed/taught three other courses. During my time as a TA for Penn State's introduction to electromagnetics, I was responsible for leading two recitations/labs per week as well as holding office hours. Whenever possible I included demonstrations and hands-on activities to help explain the concepts in greater detail. I developed two courses on optics and photonics at both a first-year and fourth-year student level. In the first year class students were given a broad introduction to modern optics and allowed to experiment freely≥ In the fourth-year course students were presented with a topic in spectroscopy and then given the opportunity to put the concept into practice. The final course I taught was a first-year student introduction to electrical engineering through audio effects and guitar amplifiers. Student were introduced to basics of circuit design as well as basics of signal processing.
